My Desire
To see all people glorify God every day of their lives.
I have successfully worked and lived with people from many different cultures.
What a Journey!
Born in Pennsylvania, I always desired to see the world and meet new people. After college, I worked as a retail and business manager in Pennsylvania and New York. In 1999, I became restless, spending so many hours working but feeling that I was not making an impact within the Kingdom of God. After considering several options, God led me on a mission trip to Romania, and while overseas, I felt His call to long-term, overseas ministry.
Part of the preparation included selling my house and moving to North Carolina for seminary. While at the seminary, my wife and I prayed separately about joining the mission field, and together, we decided to go to Lucknow, India. God’s leading was like a spotlight that continually became more and more focused. It started with a desire to work for the Kingdom and ended with a specific people group in a specific city.
Overseas and Back to the US
We remained in Lucknow for nine years. Ministry had its ups and downs, but amid all the emotions of living overseas, God was faithful. Over time, my family fell in love with Lucknow and will always consider it home. In 2013, my wife and I moved to southern Bangladesh and worked there until July 2024, when we returned to the USA permanently.
In both countries, I mixed community development with church planting. God bless the work numerically and spiritually. I thank God for how He transformed people's lives in South Asia.
Although I am new to Maryland, I am excited to see what God does through the ministry in Sunset Beach. I love meeting people and guiding them towards a deeper relationship with Jesus. Prayerfully, that will continue to happen at Grace Baptist Church.
Thanks for your help,
Chris
