Our Vision

In the power of God’s Holy Spirit, we envision…

A warm, vibrant church in which members work together in Christ to reach Pasadena and the surrounding communities with Christ’s love, through: meeting physical and spiritual needs; providing Bible studies, children’s and family-centered activities; growing mature Christian leaders, and; reaching the next generation with God’s good news in Jesus Christ.

Our Mission/Purpose:

Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach exists to glorify God by making disciples, teaching the Bible and loving one another.

Making Disciples:  We will seek to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19, 20) by reaching out to the world for the purpose of winning lost souls for the Kingdom of Christ.  Per Acts 1:8, we will be Christ’s witnesses to our Jerusalem (neighborhood outreach), our Judea and Samaria (state/regional missions within the United States), and to the ends of the earth (North American and international missions) by “going” ourselves and by “sending” missionaries through our tithes and offerings. 

Teaching the Bible:  We will faithfully preach and teach the whole counsel of God in the Bible, equipping the saints for the work of ministry so as to achieve the building up of our church body through Christian discipleship to full maturity in Christ.  (Ephesians 4:11-13)

Loving one another:  We will be obedient to our Lord’s command to “love one another” through service to widows and orphans, and by caring for all who are in distress among the congregation.  Also, we will plan regular fellowship activities to promote a community of love.  The world will recognize us as Christ’s disciples when we have love for one another.  (John 13:34,35, 1 John 4:8,9)
